Divinations
How do divinations work? While cartomancy is a real-world practice, we'll be adapting it for RP! Here's a simple step-by-step guide to getting your character's fortune read. Don't worry, it's just a couple decisions.
1. Decide what you want to ask
For this event, all readings will be for your character, not you as the player. With that in mind, decide what your character wants to know about their future. Common topics include romance, career, decision-making, dream interpretation, and self-growth. You can ask a specific question or just ask for a reading on a general topic.
2. Choose a deck.
Rin knows a couple of different cartomancy techniques. The most popular of these is a tarot deck, where any number of cards might be drawn in a specific spread to answer a question. She also knows Lenormand, a practice where at least two cards are drawn, and the meaning of each card changes depending on those surrounding it. Or, if you want to keep it short and simple, she can draw one of the six major arcana used in the Astrologian class in-game.
3. Hear your fortune
Watch has Rin reads the cards to tell you your answers. Whether you asked for specifics or a generalization, she'll tell you what the stars have to say. And then reap some free chocolate afterwards!
